Tell Us What You Need to Know about Atlantic Canada
Please participate in our anonymous survey to help us help you make sense of your life in Atlantic Canada, navigate the decisions in front of you, and help your kids figure out their future
Hi everyone,
Gina and I are back from our travels, and we’ve got some exciting news to share. Thanks to your early support and interest in our newsletter, we’ve been having some interesting conversations about what comes next.
Over the past few months, we’ve been exploring how to build a new, regional news and information organization to serve Atlantic Canada, and now we need your help.
We want to know what kinds of information you need to know about Atlantic Canada, and its place within a larger world.
I’ve created a shortish multiple-choice survey to get a better sense of what you worry most about for yourself and your family, the kind of information you need to help alleviate those worries or at least point you towards some potential solutions, and how you currently get and find information.
I’m very purposefully asking you about information, not simply news.
Like you, Gina and I want to build for the future, which means creating a company centred around the service that journalism and its core task of information gathering and analysis can provide.
We’ve got some ideas of what that might be, but first, we’d like to hear from you. I’ve put together a short survey. It’s 10 questions that will take maybe five minutes, maybe less, to complete.
It asks about where you turn for information, what you’re worried about, and what you wish you had access to that you currently don’t.
If you’re willing to take it, I’ll tell you what I find out and what Gina and I are planning next.
